Biomedical scientist with a love of ethics…

Eline has a background in Biomedical Science and is specialized in health technology assessment. That fits in perfectly with her goal: to make healthcare truly better as a whole. As to what defines better healthcare: that’s something she enjoys thinking about and discussing. Which is why now she also wants to pursue a Master’s degree in Philosophy, Bioethics and Health at VU Amsterdam.

Dancing! That’s what Eline does outside of work. Ballroom dancing to be precise. She and her dancing partner take part in competitions. And when she’s not on the dance floor, she likes to read a book: a good whodunit or an interesting book about philosophy.

… who goes for practical, shared solutions 

Eline once worked on a large project at a hospital. She was shocked by how laborious that was. ‘Piles of reports, but nothing actually happened.’ Eline is too impatient for that. ‘Of course you need to analyze the situation carefully, but the goal needs to be to find a practical solution’. She then puts that solution into practice as soon as possible and always together with others. ‘That gives people energy and guarantees a lasting result.’
