Health sciences professional and occupational therapist …

Bas studied Occupational Therapy in Amsterdam and minored in International Public Health in Oslo. After that, he worked in primary healthcare as an occupational therapist and obtained a Master’s degree in Health Sciences at VU Amsterdam, specializing in Policy and Economics. He worked as a practitioner in intensive neurorehabilitation. But he noticed there was still a lot that could be improved in the healthcare industry, from processes to preconditions and agreed goals.

Bas plays field hockey and also likes somewhat more extreme sports. Such as scuba diving – preferably to a depth of about 40 meters.

Bas’s strength is in putting new processes into practice. He likes to approach challenges right across the board and take action as soon as practicable. Thanks to his experience as a practitioner, he quickly converts numbers and data into information that people on the shop floor can really use. And that makes it easy for him to build relationships with people on all levels of an organization.
