Heleen studied Law and Psychology at the same time in Utrecht. She’s fascinated by human behavior, whether that’s on the street, in the courtroom or in a business context. After her Bachelor’s degrees, she also obtained an MBA, which makes a lot of sense. After that, she knew getting into consultancy was definitely the way to go because that’s where she could combine all her skills. And because it suits her. Heleen is inquisitive, is great at solving problems and always feels the drive to find out what the real issue is.
Heleen plays the piano and guitar, and she loves theater and sports. She rowed the 100-km Ringvaart Regatta course, for example.
Heleen’s thesis was about people’s resistance to change. Or to be more precise: about the impact of that resistance on organizations. For her research, she looked at the macro effects on the micro level, which is also how she likes to look at organizations and processes. Because it’s ultimately individual employees who make an organization successful – provided they do the right things. And Heleen is happy to help them on their way.
