Health economist with drive who helps organizations change along with their people

Health economist with the drive to help …

Jelle studied Physiotherapy and also worked as a physical therapist for three years. That’s when it started nagging away at him: he felt too confined. He wanted to spend the whole day working on the problems of the organization, not of individual people. In other words, he wanted to make more of a difference for multiple people at the same time. Which is why he picked up a master’s degree in Health Economics, Policy & Law in Rotterdam. At the same time, he gained experience as an independent project manager in a hospital and a municipality.

Jelle relaxes through sports: A couple of times a week on the tennis court, and every year in the mountains, with his snowboard.

… who helps organizations change along with their people

Jelle has an analytical mind, gets right to the heart of the matter, and is a people person. He knows what the healthcare practice looks like from the shop floor. When helping healthcare organizations implement change, he therefore never does that from above. As he says himself: ‘If you impose things, it might seem like the interests of the organization conflict with those of personnel. If you tackle change together, it’s easier for everyone to see the connection between the figures and the people.’
