Marlène studied Medicine in Groningen and worked in pediatrics in Utrecht and Amsterdam as a physician not training towards becoming a specialist. At the hospital, she discovered she also gets a lot of energy from process management and business. She had already been helping at the hospital to get the conditions for the shop floor in order and was part of a think tank on sustained improvement.
Marlène spends her free time with friends and family and, above all, on sports, especially tennis and bicycle racing. And she’s also into the more extreme forms of winter and water sports, if she gets the chance.
As a consultant for care providers, Marlène takes full advantage of her background in medicine. She knows the culture, is very personable, and quickly sees how theoretical processes will turn out in practice. She helps organizations make workable plans and successfully implement them.
